Locations

We regularly host retreats at Wild Rice Retreat in beautiful Bayfield, WI. Other locations are offered on an intermittent basis.

This interactive retreat explores self-care as spiritual practice to support living the greatest commandment with peace, joy, and self-control. Cami Smalley, professional wellness coach and Guardian Angels parishioner, hopes to inspire and support your holistic well-being so that you can generously engage in being light in the world. The retreat experience will explore several self-care practices with a spiritual lens including:

  • Movement Meditation (gentle yoga)
  • Centering Prayer (meditation)
  • Self-regulation (gifts of the Holy Spirit)

Bring a yoga mat, journal, and dress in layered and comfortable clothing for gentle movement.

Participants should complete the VIA survey of character strengths before attending the retreat.

Mindful Pause Retreat

When: Wednesday, April 22, 2020 | 2:00PM – 4:30PM
Where: Lake Elmo State Park, Nordic Center
Cost: $50 (includes Coach Cami’s Book, Mindful Pause: A Self-care guide to resilience and well-being) Purchase a day pass if you don’t have a park permit

Celebrate Earth Day out at a park with this retreat to explore the Mindful Pause approach for resilience and well-being: Stop – Breathe – Think – Choose. Workshop includes fundamental self-care practices that can be easily integrated into your life and work that build rock solid wellbeing & resilience:

  • Gentle Yoga
  • Introduction to Meditation/Mindfulness
  • The Power of Positive Emotion
  • Connecting to the natural world

Bring a yoga mat. Wear layered and comfortable clothing. Some activity outdoors (weather permitting).
